Purchases and billing

Refunds, made
clear.

This policy explains how to request a refund or cancel a subscription for an order made through Paddle checkout.

Last updated 31 October 2026

1. Payment provider

For orders placed through Paddle checkout, Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payment, provides transaction support, and handles refunds and returns for those orders. The terms and refund rules shown by Paddle at checkout and in its Buyer Terms and Refund Policy apply to the transaction.

2. Refund eligibility

Refund eligibility depends on the product, transaction, applicable consumer law, and the terms presented when you purchased. Unless a mandatory legal right applies, a transaction is not automatically refundable. Paddle may consider discretionary requests on a case-by-case basis; its current policy describes a general 14-day request period, but submitting a request in that period does not guarantee approval.

This policy does not remove any rights you have where a product is materially defective, not as described, or where local law gives you a withdrawal or refund right. If a technical issue prevents you from using a purchase, contact us so we can try to resolve it; you may also contact Paddle through its buyer support service.

Nothing in this policy limits a non-waivable consumer right. If the law that applies to your purchase gives you stronger protection, that protection takes priority.

3. How to request a refund

For a Paddle checkout order, use the support or refund link in your receipt, open the billing or customer portal link for the transaction, or visit Paddle buyer support. Paddle may ask for your transaction details and the reason for your request.

Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method where possible. Paddle controls the review and processing of refunds for transactions it handles. Contact M+ Labs about product access or a service issue at hello@mpluslabs.co.za; contacting us does not replace submitting a payment request through Paddle where Paddle processed the order.

4. Subscription cancellation

You can cancel a Paddle subscription through the “Manage subscription” link in your transaction email or Paddle customer portal. Unless the checkout terms or applicable law say otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period and prevents future renewal charges; it does not itself request a refund for a previous charge.

5. Custom projects and services

Custom development, consulting, hosting, and other project work may have a proposal, statement of work, milestone schedule, or service agreement that explains the scope and fees. Any cancellation or refund for that work is assessed under the applicable written agreement, the status of work already performed, Paddle’s transaction rules where relevant, and mandatory law.

If you have a concern about delivery, tell us promptly at hello@mpluslabs.co.za so we can investigate and work toward a resolution.

6. Mandatory rights and updates

This policy operates alongside Paddle’s transaction terms and applicable consumer-protection law. It does not waive a right that cannot legally be waived. The policy version in effect at the time of purchase applies to that transaction, subject to mandatory legal requirements.

We may update this page when our services or payment arrangements change. The latest version and its date will be shown here.

7. Support
